A non-alcoholic sparkling alternative for aperitif occasions. Cuvée Geranium captures ALTER’s signature depth in a lively, herbal-toned cuvée where Pelargonium crispum (lemon geranium) meets French oak and rosemary over a bright, fruit-driven base.

We cultivate our own botanicals and distil them alcohol-free to preserve primary and secondary aromas. The centrepiece is a South-African lemon-geranium strain, balanced by organic French oak and fresh rosemary. These distillates are blended into a base of white stone fruit and a blend of unripe grapes, then lightly carbonated to deliver wine-like structure without alcohol.

Geranium is “Crafted, not removed.” It is not de-alcoholised wine (an industrial shortcut that strips aroma); instead, it’s designed from the ground up as a non-alcoholic alternative with genuine wine-like complexity and a clean, refreshing finish.

Tasting Notes

Palate:Refreshing lemon geranium layered with exotic lychee and gentle rosemary.

How to serve

Serve ice cold at 3°C in a wide champagne glass. We do not recommend coupe or flut shape glassware

Food pairing

Seasoning profile: bright citrus (lemon, yuzu, bergamot; lemon geranium or verbena), woody Mediterranean herbs (rosemary, thyme, oregano), saline green notes (capers, green olive), light nuttiness (almond, pistachio). Keep it zesty, not sweet.

Vegetables: fennel, zucchini, asparagus, peas, artichoke, endive.

Fruits: citrus ( lemon, yuzu, bergamot, grapefruit zest), stone (apricot, peach, pear, green apple, quince), tropical (lychee, pineapple, unripe mango).

Meat & Poultry: chicken, turkey or duck, veal, pork tenderloin.

Fish: white fish (sea bass, cod, halibut, hake), oily fish (trout or salmon), shellfish (scallops, prawns, lobster), cephalopods (octopus, squid). 

Sauces: French (lemon beurre blanc, sauce vierge), Italian (salsa verde, gremolata, pistachio-almond pesto), Middle-Eastern (yogurt-tahini-lemon), Asian (ponzu-yuzu dressings)

Vinegars & Condiments: vinegars (white wine (or ALTER Cedro)), fine sherry, verjus, rice vinegar), saline notes (preserved lemon, capers, green olive tapenade, rosemary salt), pickled vegetables, Dijon, white miso, good olive oil.

Avoid: heavy sweet glazes or smoky BBQ sauces that overwhelm the fine citrus and floral notes.

Storage guidelines

Store in a dry, dark place at 3 — 4°C.
